Forming missionary disciples for college and beyond.
"Dear young people, make the most of these years of your youth. Don’t observe life from a balcony. Don’t confuse happiness with an armchair, or live your life behind a screen... Take risks, even if it means making mistakes... Make a ruckus! Cast out the fears that paralyze you, so that you don’t become young mummies. Live! Give yourselves over to the best of life! Open the door of the cage, go out and fly!"
Christus Vivit, 143.
Here at the Newman Center, our students aren't just passive recipients of our ministry, but active and vibrant sharers in our mission! As Pope Francis has urged the young church, we want our students to be protagonists in their lives of faith at Newman and beyond. Whether it's serving in formal leadership on our student board, serving in liturgical ministry, being an active participant in service opportunities, or a leader of a small faith sharing community, our students are welcomed into the active life of faith and encouraged to take ownership of their faith and relationship with Jesus!
